Welcome to my blog!
As the title suggests, this is the story of me and my God. Not the whole story (that would be too big for a blog), but snippets and conversations and steps along the way. A small piece of the great adventure that is my life with him. Sometimes it’s more adventurous than others.
I am a 30 something girl – wife, mom, sister, daughter, and friend (the header pic is actually me as a small child). I hope you may relate to the idea that I’m “just a girl.” This is my story – but it could be your story, or your friend’s story, or the story of the girl next door. This is my personal testimony – but everything God has made available to me is also available to you. I hold no monopoly on his love, wisdom, compassion, forgiveness, grace, mercy, power, presence…(this list could go on for a long time!), and I have made as many mistakes, foolish decisions, committed as many wrongs, and fallen as short of the mark as the next person. I do not consider myself to be greater than anyone else, but just like you I am nothing less than a child of God (1 John 3:1)!
It is my sincere desire that as you read you may be encouraged, uplifted, and come to know my God more. If you already know Him, I hope these writings will draw you closer in. If you don’t know him, I hope to introduce you. At the very least, I hope you will be able to respect and appreciate the story of one girl and her faith, and that somehow that story will bring you to a greater understanding of your own.
